pradastore1Alright, “pop-up” is probably not the best term  to use when describing this new Prada store, but it is only open for 5 months.

The store is at Place Beauvau in Paris and the design by Roberto Baciocchi is inspired by the French poet, Apollinaire’s ‘Le Pont Mirabeau’ – which amongst other things immortalised Mirabeau Bridge, the first metal bridge to be built into Paris.

“The boutique’s designer, Roberto Baciocchi, took the inspirational elements of the Mirabel Bridge and incorporated them into the store through faux metalwork that wraps around the dramatic staircase; perspective illusions, and even the store’s lights hang from metal support-like beams trussed across the ceiling. The surreal boutique on Place Beauvau 92 has a hint of the Milan store with similar checkered marble floors and freestanding display cases. The interior is lined with mannequins dressed in Prada to look like pedestrians enjoying the Parisian landmark. The store will carry a selection of women’s ready-to-wear, bags, accessories and footwear. – From Luxury Insider ”
