Interactivity & engagement are becoming increasingly critical to retail success, particularly in airports. When you have food involved, such as a chocolate store or fine food usage, this of course involves tasting opportunities. Sometimes retailers mistakenly think you can simply put out some of the product for people to taste and certainly that is better than nothing – but nothing works better than an attended tasting where people can see, smell, taste & experience not only the product but what you can do with it.

Recently Choc Stop International in partnership with Dimensi Eksklusif, organised live chocolate demonstrations for Lindt at Kual Lumpur’s Low Cost Carrier Terminal. They held daily chocolate dipping sessions for a few hours each day with a Lindt promoter in Swiss costume. The result was a 45% increase in daily sales for the brand. It works, pure & simple.
