I remember this ad originally failing at ad testing but everyone believed in it so much it went ahead.  So many great campaigns nearly died before they hit the screens – probably still do.

This one came out just before the Cottee’s 007 1/2 campaign which was designed for the kids cordial range.  I’ve never been able to find a copy of that one – probably because it was pretty much only ever shown in the cinema.

“My dad picks the fruit” however went on for quite a few years.  Originally created by O&M Sydney.

Country Blend was done at around the same time.

So was Ice Magic

None were quite as good as “my dad picks the fruit” though oddly enough from memory all the others tested better at the time. Just goes to show….
