In a great new idea for non-traditional advertising, Flogos (a US company) have created a machine which makes floating clouds in the shape of company logos – or anything else for that matter.

The clouds themselves are a mix of soap and helium so they’re environmentally safe.  There are different formulations which can be used which last from minutes to hours, so the duration of the effect can be controlled.

The machines need to be rented and are operated on stencils which produce the cloud shapes.  At these stage they produce 12″, 24″, 36″ and 48″ clouds and whilst they can be colored appear to be restricted to a single color.  According to their website, the machines produce clouds every 15-50 seconds depending on the size and thickness.

Good news is that these machines are available in Australia .  If you’ve got a fairly simple logo which would translate itself into a stencil easily then consider these.  They’re new and bound to attract attention – a great way to get that wow factor and start people talking about your brand.

Yarram’s community is already mobilising, but goodwill alone can’t carry what should be a structured, predictable framework for regional crises.
