The “Not Happy Jan” commercial was targeted at advertisers in the Yellow Pages – to try and build a sense that really a Yellow Pages ad was the most important part of your ad campaign – a critical part.  “Not Happy Jan” was so popular as a campaign that the phrase exists today in common use.
