In September 2008, the world’s first Buddha-Bar Hotel will open in Prague. The aim is to extend the Buddha-Bar Hotels & Resorts in 5star vacation destinations. The atmosphere is planned to be similar to the Buddha-Bar restaurants with a fusion of local and eastern decor. The first hotel at least is small, 36 rooms and three suites featuring heavy Asian influence with a French Colonial touch. Of course it will feature a Buddha-Bar Restaurant as well as a fitness centre and oriental steam room and spa.

The group reports that each room will feature rain shower heads and in-suite jacuzzi and steam room. There will be a range of Buddhattitudes amenities, a CD library, iPod cradle and a mirror with a TV screen which can be seen from the bath or jacuzzi.

The expansion plans after Prague are Panama, Dominican Republic, Paris, Egypt (Sal Hasheesh) and of course in “The World” at Dubai. The company reported that by the end of the year, three more locations will be announced.
